Wedding Bouquet: Carissa Poppies

Ah I’m about to leave my desk just now when I saw this crazily beautiful flower bouquet!!! Obviously, I can’t wait to share this photo with you guys. This creation is a combination of peach parrot tulips, blush and coral poppies, minty green succulents and finished in crochet lace with a gold/pink cameo…so so pretty!!

Okay I gotta now. Don’t forget to consult this to your nearest florist or flower designer 😉

Wedding Inspiration: Cotton Green

Today I thought I’d share with you an idea from my buddy Jen, using raw cotton and green details. You gonna love this!

This perfect centerpiece is a combination of magnolia leaves, white lilac, lace, raw cotton, succulents, mint and green wheat, green tomatoes, succulents, tomatillos and of course, raw cotton.

See how perfect cotton and green blend in with each other?

Hope this can be another inspirational choice 🙂

Wedding Trend: Dessert in Dish

I know not everyone out there is a fan of cake – and there are no rules you have to have a cake at your wedding (although it’s a world’s famous ritual!). There are so many ideas out there and you should pick what you as a couple love for dessert. 🙂

A trend that I’ve been adoring at some of my favorite mentors are desserts served in small jars. Admit that it’s kinda hard to find this fab serving in KL. But this is a perfect serving of something amazing – and so many ways to bring this trend into your day. Let me share them with you (and most link to the recipe) so you could make this ahead of time or share with your baker.

Top left is Caramel Budino with Salted Caramel SauceLemon Souffles with Blueberry CompoteSpiced Poached Pears with Warm Chocolate Sauce & Vanilla Bean Ice Cream, and Shortbread and Eggnog Pudding Trifles.

Above left is Guinness Chocolate PuddingBlueberry Trifles with Mascarpone WhipCheesecake in a Jar, and Individual Peanut Butter Pies

Cherry Crisp in JarsTiramisu in shot glassesCoconut + Lime Macaroons with Custard, and Mini Donuts with Hot Chocolate

Yum, right?! What will you be serving as your dessert for your wedding?

Wedding Inspiration: Psychedelic Pink

I’ve always look for rare styles that might suit well in weddings. This inspirational idea came from Melissa Elise and thought it would be nice to share it with the brides out there. I love its details, mostly how they pull the fabric together and made it just right.

I hope to help couples pull their styles + interests together and this one is just so beautiful! The flower bouquet, the dress, the centerpieces, the cake!

Don’t we all love the tall pink candles and the bowls?

I love the display and am in love with the gorgeous cake.

Hope this will inspire you 🙂

Wedding Trend: Ombre Details

FYI, the trending of Ombre is spreading in Southern California, not that we live in the state but just take a look at how adorable these pieces can be in a wedding!

For those who aren’t familiar with the word, according to Jen from GWS, ombre is french for shaded – or maybe you thought ombre was a cowboy as her husband did LOL! So by the ways, this has been quite a big trend in the US but I doubt it will strike in Malaysia. Pretty funky! Anyways, this has been one of my favorite entries and let’s see what ‘ombre’ could do you.

So, what do you guys think? Anyone planning on implementing ombre details into their wedding day? I’d sure love to get a chance to do any of these on your big day 🙂

Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri

Oh I can’t believe we’ve finally at the edge of Ramadhan (I lied, I’ve been expecting Hari Raya since the 1st Ramadhan :p). We have loads of upcoming weddings in September so I’ve decided to take a looooong holiday, it’s 7 days on leave! My team surely gonna miss me.

Here’s how I think my raya would be:

Next!! (you know what this is? this is the yummy food! cholesterol cholesterol!)

More cholesterol!! Still okay, I got a big tank to fill up! =D~

Tadahal! I can still go on and on and on and on….

See, I can exercise later.. at least!

…. and out celebrating.. cause this is all i can do. Wanna know why?

*a very cool photo from Michael Yip’s blog*

Cause tv got only 1 remote control. This remote control doesn’t control the universe.

Since not much of exercising gonna happen during this holiday, in the end…

So this is exactly why we need 7 days off this month. Things that will be out of shape gotta be reshaped again. If you got anything in mind, just drop us an email. If it’s urgent, just ring us. Aite, gotta go now, see y’all in a week later!

Selamat Hari Raya and Happy Independence Day to all Malaysian!

Maaf Zahir & Batin from the Lasting Tales Team.
