Wedding Trend: Dessert in Dish

I know not everyone out there is a fan of cake – and there are no rules you have to have a cake at your wedding (although it’s a world’s famous ritual!). There are so many ideas out there and you should pick what you as a couple love for dessert. 🙂

A trend that I’ve been adoring at some of my favorite mentors are desserts served in small jars. Admit that it’s kinda hard to find this fab serving in KL. But this is a perfect serving of something amazing – and so many ways to bring this trend into your day. Let me share them with you (and most link to the recipe) so you could make this ahead of time or share with your baker.

Top left is Caramel Budino with Salted Caramel Sauce, Lemon Souffles with Blueberry Compote, Spiced Poached Pears with Warm Chocolate Sauce & Vanilla Bean Ice Cream, and Shortbread and Eggnog Pudding Trifles.

Wedding Trend: Ombre Details

FYI, the trending of Ombre is spreading in Southern California, not that we live in the state but just take a look at how adorable these pieces can be in a wedding!

For those who aren’t familiar with the word, according to Jen from GWS, ombre is french for shaded – or maybe you thought ombre was a cowboy as her husband did LOL! So by the ways, this has been quite a big trend in the US but I doubt it will strike in Malaysia. Pretty funky! Anyways, this has been one of my favorite entries and let’s see what ‘ombre’ could do you.

So, what do you guys think? Anyone planning on implementing ombre details into their wedding day? I’d sure love to get a chance to do any of these on your big day 🙂
